Tracking Processor Use

Process accounting is a new feature in IIS 5.0 that records information about how Web sites use CPU resources on the server. Process accounting is enabled on a per-server basis and records information on a per-Web site basis, but does not provide details on CPU usage of individual applications or CGI applications. In order to enable process accounting, you must select the W3C Extended log file format. Process accounting is not available for FTP sites.

1. Select a Web site and open its property sheets.
2. On the Web Site property sheet, click Properties.
3. On the Extended Properties sheet, select the Process Accounting check box.
4. Click OK.
